Kim Haller was brought up in rural Indiana before moving with her family to Australia. She returned to the US in the mid 1980’s to study at Parsons School of Design.

In 1989, Kim started her career at Calvin Klein as a knitwear designer. Amongst her successes, she helped conceptualize and launch the CK Calvin Klein line at a time when the company was riding high on the success of the Kate Moss and Marky Mark campaign.

Recognizing a need for experienced knitwear designers, Kim left CK and started her own consultancy business in 1995.  Kim Haller Design provides concept, design and technical support for established designers eager to expand their knitwear collections.

For the last 25 years, Kim has worked with some of the leading names in fashion, including Gabriela Hearst, Carolina Herrera, Derek Lam, Jason Wu, Michael Kors Collection, Narciso Rodriguez, Sally LaPointe, Maiyet, and many more. Her capacity to conceptualize and design into any designer’s viewpoint and deliver high quality sweaters to clients, while managing the technical challenges of knitwear, makes her one of the most sought-after creative partners in the business.
